PROJECT OVERVIEW

Engaged by the John Holland & McConnell Dowell JV in May 2021, MinStaff Survey have been engaged to complete all Survey Works for the development of the first pumped hydro project in Australia for over 40 years, the first to be developed by the private sector, and the third largest electricity storage device in the country.

SCOPE OF WORKS
  • Control Network Establishment
  • Setout and as-built surveys for earthworks and civils for two reservoirs; Wises Pit (52ha) & Eldridge Pit (54ha)
  • Pit wall monitoring utilising automated sensors 
  • Setout and as-built surveys for decline and tunnel development, powerhouse cavern and underground shafts
  • Setout and as-built surveys for underground infrastructure including, structural, mechanical and pipe works
  • HD scanning to capture general as-built data for clash analysis, measurement of shotcrete thickness 
  • EOM UAV surveys
  • Management and reporting of survey and scanning data
