Jake Laing - MinStaff Survey

Jake Laing

General Manager

Jake has been employed by MinStaff Survey since 2005 and currently holds the position of General Manager. Jake holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Southern Queensland (Majoring in Human Resource Management and Psychology).

Jake is based in the Toowoomba Head Office and is responsible for all recruitment, managing client relationships, controlling the company’s financial position and administering MinStaff Survey’s integrated management system.

Michael Koschel - MinStaff Survey

Michael Koschel

Company Survey Manager

Michael joined MinStaff Survey in 2008 and holds the position of Survey Manager. Michael is responsible for all Cadastral and Engineering Surveying services. He also manages various divisions of the business including the company's technical systems and processes.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Spatial Science from the University of Southern Queensland, is a member of the Spatial Sciences Institute and is a Registered Cadastral Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland and a Licenced Cadastral Surveyor with BOSSI.

Rick Perissinotto - MinStaff Survey

Rick Perissinotto

Survey Manager (Mining)

Rick has over 30 years experience as a Senior Surveyor in the mining industry. Rick is a member of the Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors and is a Registered Mining Surveyor (UM & O) in Queensland and in New South Wales (Mining Unrestricted).

Rick joined MinStaff Survey in 1998 and has played a critical role supporting MinStaff Survey’s mining clients throughout Australia and overseas. Rick also provides professional development and supervision to individuals progressing with registration and endorsement.

Rowan Dickfos

Survey Manager (Cadastral)

Rowan commenced with MinStaff Survey in 2008 as a Surveyor and progressed into the role of Cadastral Survey Manager. Rowan is a Registered Surveyor with a Cadastral Endorsement with SBQ and is also a Licensed Surveyor in NSW & the NT.

Rowan is responsible for all Cadastral Survey works completed by the company and his diligence and professionalism is the reason MinStaff Survey has forged such a strong reputation in the industry relative to cadastral works and land development services.

Matt Williams - MinStaff Survey

Matt Williams

Survey Manager (Toowoomba)

Matt started with MinStaff Survey as a student surveyor in 2010 whilst attending USQ. Matt has progressed within the company and now manages the workload and resources of the Toowoomba office (approximately 15 survey crews) and provides direction and guidance to junior survey staff within the company.

Matt is also the company’s Chief Pilot, supervising the operation of both fixed wing and multi-rotor craft. Matt was the driver in implementing these systems within the company and remains at the forefront of this technology and its applications for our clients.

Simon Harding - MinStaff Survey

Simon Harding

Survey Manager (Brisbane)

Simon joined the MinStaff Survey team in 2015 in the role of Project Surveyor, and is a Registered Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland. Due to continued company growth, in 2018 Simon was promoted to the position of Survey Manager within the Brisbane Office.

In the role of Survey Manager (Brisbane), Simon is responsible for managing the Brisbane Survey team (approximately 10 survey crews), the client relationships and projects being undertaken by the Brisbane office.

Steve Wilson - MinStaff Survey

Steve Wilson

Survey Manager (Gold Coast)

Steven Wilson (SSI ESP-AP) has over 20 years infrastructure services experience and significant exposure in leading projects. Steven also has formal qualifications in Surveying, Civil Engineering and Asset Management.

In the role of Survey Manager (Gold Coast), Steven is responsible for managing the GC Survey team (approximately 6 survey crews), the client relationships and projects being undertaken by this office. Currently Steven is playing a key role in the delivery of the M1 Upgrade Project (Burleigh to Palm Beach).

Ben Townsend - MinStaff Survey

Ben Townsend

Survey Manager (Major Projects- NSW)

Ben first commenced with MinStaff Survey in 2019 as a Project Surveyor on the Parkes to Narromine Section of the Inland Rail.

He has since taken on lead various projects including the Senior Surveyor positions on the New England Solar Farm and the Newell Highway Upgrade Project.

Ben has progressed to Survey Manager – NSW Major Projects, and in this capacity, Ben is responsible for managing clients, survey resources and major projects throughout Central and Western New South Wales.

Greg Russell - MinStaff Survey

Greig Russell

Survey Manager (Major Projects- QLD)

Arriving from Scotland in 2012, Greig has contributed positively to every division of MinStaff Survey over the past 12 years and has been involved on resource, infrastructure and development projects throughout Australia.

Greig has grown into a very capable team leader, managing major projects and survey teams achieve the desired results. Most notably, Greig Russell has played a key role managing one of the company’s biggest projects ever to be undertaken; the Kidston Pumped Hydro Project. In this capacity, Greig has successfully managed complex survey aspects in both the surface and underground environments to deliver a first rate service.
